Current Fishing Report Spring/Summer 2010

Let's go fishing!-    We finally saw the return of some Yellowfin Tuna, although spread out and mostly 8-25pounds the boats finding them are scoring 2-12!  Most of the Tuna are in the schools of Dolphin with most on the Pacific side.  Dorado #s continue to improve with solitary & some schools being found - most 10-25 pounds.  Striped Marlin have remained some what elusive for this time of year, but as water temps warm up they should turn on soon.  Several Blue Marlin have been seen occasionaly.   Most all of our our boats have been recently refitted with Turbo Diesels that can make the run to any of the Cabo hot spots quite easily.  Shots at Marlin are also good from the Arch up to los Arcos & over to Gordo.  The Dorado are spread out from the light house on up to Los Arcos as well as the Cortez side.   Tunna & Dorado remain the top catch with boats taking 2-4 avg . Most Dorado are up to 10-25 pounds now with an occasional 20-40 pound bull taking a marlin lure or bait.     Tuna are in the Cortez & Pacific area and being caught under the Dolphin schools although many of the schools only produced a few fish then they seem to get lock jaw - but not bad size in the 20-30 pound class for those getting hooked up.  Inshore is still good for Pargo & Roosters with Sierra showing in good numbers from  Chillieno on down the coast, readily taking hootchies.  Some schools of Wahoo have been scattered close to shore with occasional lucky boat getting 1-3 out of the schools A We recently started offering several charters out of the new Puerto los Cabos in San Jose to fish the Gordo Banks this Spring & Summer - call us for details - so come &  Join us in Cabo Today!
