Fiesta Guided Trip Fishing Reports/Fish Counts

• Cabo Oct 2007: Fiesta trip with 12 anglers fishing 2 days on 5 boats returned with an amazing 80 Dorados 10-30 pounds,3 Striped Marlin Released,  8 Yellowfin Tuna 5-15 pounds, and 4 Roosterfish.

 

• Cabo Nov 2007: Fiesta trip with 35 anglers fishing 2 days on 9 boats returned with a record Fiesta fishing trip of , 31 Striped Marlin 100-180 pounds with all released but 3 that died during the fight, 47 Dorado 15-30 pounds,49 Yellowfin Tuna 10-15 pounds, 2 Yellowtail, 3 Roosterfish, 2 Mako Sharks, and 8 Cochi.

Current Fishing Report

 Spring fishing is in full swing and although the Marlin bite is tapering off, Yellowfin Tuna have taken over.  Large schools of Tuna are running with the Porpoise any where from 15-30 miles out.  Most are 10-15 pounds with an occasional 30 pounder keeping rods bent.  Some of our boats have scored 20-30 per day!  Most are readiy taking feathers trolled through the Porpoise.    Striped Marlin are still in the area but due to the Giant Squid moving in they have been tough to catch.  Some anglers are having fun with the giant squid.  Also an unusual bite for Yellowtail right off the beach is also keeping things interesting.  Most are small 4-5 pounds with a few up to 10 pounds with several boats catching 15-20/day.  A few single Dorado have shown in the catches as well.  Last week we had two nice wahoo taken by the Tuna schools - 1 was around 60 pounds the other close to 90 pounds!  Inshore we have good action on Sierra, Roosters and even some nice Yellowtail are being caught.     Join us in Cabo Today!
